Do I need a doctor referral to receive treatment at this clinic?

You do not require a doctor referral for most services provided at the clinic. If you have extended health care benefits, however, it is suggested that you check if you require a referral when submitting a receipt for reimbursement.

What are my funding options – extended health care benefits/ government health care plans?

As a clinic we are able to submit to a select set of insurance providers on your behalf. All insurance claims are submitted through Telus Health.

Depending on your provider, most health insurance providers will reimburse all or a portion of physiotherapy services.

We can assist your with all the required information regarding insurance claims when you arrive at the clinic

Currently, services at The Right Move are not covered under government health care plans (e.g., OHIP, ODSP, etc.).

How much does each service cost?

The cost of the appointment will vary depending on type (e.g., baseline assessment, concussion, follow up, etc.) and duration. Please call or email the clinic and the staff will be more than happy to answer any questions pertaining to cost.

How long is an appointment?

Appointment time will vary depending on the type of service. Typically, Physiotherapy Assessment appointments are 45 minutes, while each Follow-Up appointment is 30 minutes.

If you are a concussion patient, Concussion Assessment appointments are 1 hour in length, with each concussion treatment appointment set to 30 minutes.

Active Rehabilitation appointments are typically 30 minutes in length.

What can I expect for my first visit?

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your Physiotherapist and directed to one of the treatment rooms. The physiotherapist will begin the initial assessment and ask specific questions regarding your condition to gather the necessary information to draw up an appropriate treatment plan. You will spend 45 minutes with Physiotherapist in the initial assessment going over this information, as well as performing basic functionality tests to confirm the extent of the condition.

Following the initial assessment, your Physiotherapist will have created a treatment plan to follow up with until conditions show improvement and you are back to normal functioning.

What should I bring/wear to my first visit?

We recommend wearing comfortable, loose clothing to appointments to allow for freedom of movement and easy access to injured areas during assessments if need be.

Is there an option for direct billing to health care benefits?

We are able to submit on your behalf for select health insurance providers through Telus Health. We will happy to assist you with direct billing upon arrival at the clinic.
